Tom Richardson LLC (TR LLC) is a licensed, insured, bonded, and City & County of Denver certified DBE. EBE. SBE. & MWBE design engineering/SUE designating and hydro-excavation company. TR LLC has been utility designating to meet the standards of ASCE 38-02 since our inception in January of 2014. We provide accurate work in the field and an electronic data packet in a timely manner for both design engineering (ASCE 38-02) and SUE projects (ASCE 38-22). In 2018, we incorporated drone service in our product line. Beginning in 2019 we offered hydraulic coring services, range-box installations, and diligent searches. As of 2020 we began hydro-excavation service. In 2023 we were happy to announce our newest service, Sani/Sewer Camera Locates.

One of the principals of our company, Tom Richardson, has 30+ years of underground utility engineering designating experience in the greater Denver area, as well as the state of Colorado. He has worked on the utility engineering designates for several front range and western slope airports and the Hwy 50 widening in Durango and the Idaho Springs Tunnel/Floyd Hill projects for CDOT. Tom was also the main designator at Denver International Airport (DIA) for 14 years during the construction of runways, roads, the hotel, and the light rail system. In 2024, TR LLC was awarded the “Utility Locate Services” contract for DIA, and we are currently the designator of choice for DIA design engineering projects. Our utility designators have a combined total of 95+ years of engineering designating experience, and in 2024, all of our engineering designators and our hydro-excavation lead were BAMI Certified in the standards and best practices of ASCE 38-02.
